Student tech circles
In the article Go National: Collaborative Distance Learning at Edutopia Magazine, Milt Goldberg discusses tech circles in which students from all over the country collaborate with each other using the Internet, video, and other distance-learning technologies. His particular example discusses a drama group that writes and produces plays, but it does get my wheels turning about how I could use this in my math classes this year. I think that in order to really be successful, the group should create a product such as a play, book, etc. For math, it would be great to have multiple classes perform the same experiment and then compile and coallate their data. Any other Algebra 2, Pre Calculus or AP Calculus teachers that are interested? Let me know!
